The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy reported that three oil tankers were struck by sea mines while attempting to pass through the unauthorized southern route of the Strait of Hormuz. The vessels suffered explosions and fires before being abandoned off the strait's southern coast after ignoring warnings and switching off their AIS systems. The IRGC stated ships should not be misled by CENTCOM claims on social media.
