Representatives of France's Blood Service (EFS) told BFMTV that a third-party maintenance provider was targeted by hackers, causing refrigeration units to reportedly overheat from -30°C to 110°C. EFS stated its own systems were not directly attacked but that the vendor's control systems were compromised. Three out of approximately 100 sites were affected, and blood products were moved to prevent loss. No data on lost blood products has been reported.
