According to a joint statement from the IDF and Shin Bet, an Israeli strike in Gaza City on Sunday killed Jamal Abu Saeed, chief of operations in Hamas's military intelligence. He held hostage Omer Shem Tov captive during the war. The IDF added that he had recently been advancing attacks on Israeli troops and civilians and working to rebuild Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.
